The Pitt County Agricultural Center is home to several government agencies including the Natural Resources Conservation Service, Rural Development, Farm Service Agency and the Pitt County Soil & Water Conservation service.
The Agricultural Center is also home to North Carolina Cooperative Extension - Pitt County Center. N.C. Cooperative Extension is a collaborative effort between the state’s land-grant universities—North Carolina State University (NC State) and North Carolina A&T State University (NC A&T)—and county and tribal governments to bring research-based knowledge to citizens in communities throughout the state. The respective university Extension organizations—the Cooperative Extension Program at NC A&T and NC State Extension—have partnered to serve the state since 1914.
The Center is open Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
